Today, our tutor is very kind to share with us some of the websites that are related to the teaching field. After gone through some of these websites, i realized that these sites are very useful for teachers because there are various information such as lesson plans, activities, latest info about teaching profession and others. Teachers in the 21st century must be really up-to-date with what is going on in the education development. So, through these websites teachers can equip themselves with the latest info on teaching as well as learning. I myself admit that these websites are very good and beneficial for me as i am a teacher to be. It is all in our hands.. it is either you want it or ignore it. The more you get, the better you are as a person.. (^-^)

Up to this moment, i still changing the topic for my video. It is because i'm not sure whether my topic is interesting enough or not. In my opinion, it is a must to any video maker to think of something that can capture the eyes' of the audience and that "something" must be power enough to glue the audience on the chair to watch the video until the end of it. But I still can't find that "thing" that can really make others say "WOW". I'm so ambitious to make something extravaganza about the video but i'm not skilled enough..huhu. My only hope is that my video is not too dull to be watched.

interesting adventure..

looking at my friends who are doing the video making makes me excited to finish mine too. i got some new information and help on doing the video which some of the tricks i dun really know.. well i'm using the windows movie maker to make the video at the moment but i think i wanna explore the "power director" which iman says more interesting and exciting.. can't wait to see the product of my creativity ^-^...

Video clip...

This is our second week of class. For today's class, we are working in group of five.. I'm belong to the "geng perut" group and I'm the only girl among 4 other boys namely iman, kamarul, fadzli and fahmi...(no joke!!!) hehehe. Each of us needs to come out with a video suitable for young learners. This video should contain some inputs so that it can be used in the classrrom as well. In my point of view, this assignment brings benefit to me since it gives me the opportunity to show my creativity and also my talent in video making. Other than that, I myself feel that educational video is another tool that teacher can use in their teaching as a tool to capture pupils' attention and also to make variations in teaching materials so that the pupils will not bored of learning the same way over and over again.
Besides that, Prof. Raja Maznah and other tutors are very kindly to share with us some video clips so that we can have some ideas on the product that we are going to produce. I found that the clips are very interesting and creative. Deep in my heart, i hope that i can create a video clip as interesting as the one that I watch or even better.. ;p.

Affect of technology in students' and teachers' learning

According to B.F. Skinner in his book "The Technology Teaching", argued that classrooms are inefficient places for learning because number of students together with differences in their learning progress, make it difficult for teachers to effectively reinforce and shape behaviours. So, this is where technology can be very helpful. Teachers sometimes cannot give feedback to all students at once and to correct them. Therefore, teachers can use the suitable software that allow the computers to provide immediate response and corrective feedback. So, students won't be afraid if they fall out from the track. Besides, technology provide rich learning environment. For example, students can see clearly the process of photosynthesis in an animated form along with the verbal narrations and visual information in a short time unlike in the textbook where movement and motion are impossible. So, it can attract students' attention to the topic and helps their learning. In addition, software allow the students to re-do some experiments if they not able to get the result for the first time. It is actually very helpful because it can increase students' motivation to learn and try until they succeed.
As for the teachers, internet provides them with wide range of space for them to learn. For example, forum allows them to chat with other educators all around the world and and from there you can learn how they do to improve the teaching and learning process and share whatever input or resources others have that beneficial to you. To be teachers in this era, teachers must either learn to equip themselves with ICT's skills or they will be left behind.

PLEaSE

The presentation on "PLEaSE" by Prof. Raja Maznah was very impressed me. I thought it was just an ordinary word "please" but it is actually something different and important....
In my opinion, teachers and future teachers must know well on how to gain students' engagement during teaching and learning process because the process will be more meaningful if the students are the one who set the ways they want to learn and the teachers act as the facilitator in which they provide the knowledge of their expertise.
Besides, teacher must be able to create the most suitable learning environment that allows the students to involve in the learning process. For example, the 12 Cs of Smart teaching & learning propose by Prof. Raja Maznah can be the guidelines to make sure that engagement from the students can be gained.
The use of technology is also useful in learning where it can assist teachers in their teaching and therefore teachers and students must equip themselves with the ICT's skills in order to keep up with the 21st century education system.
